Helping Learners Drive Safely Since 1990
Founded in 1990, Khan School of Motoring has helped generations of learners become safe and confident drivers. From the very beginning, our focus has been on calm, professional driving lessons tailored to each individual. As a result, learners feel supported throughout their journey. In turn, they become motivated, confident, and fully prepared for real-world driving.

Our Founder – Mr Khan
Founder & Lead Instructor (Est. 1990)
Khan School of Motoring was founded by Mr Khan in 1990 with a simple goal – to help people learn to drive safely, confidently, and with patience. From the very start, that calm approach shaped the way we teach. As a result, lessons are structured clearly and progressively. Moreover, learners build confidence step by step rather than feeling rushed. Most importantly, we prioritise safe, independent driving over shortcuts.
Over the last 35+ years, the school has grown through reputation and word of mouth. At the same time, we have remained true to our original values. Today, we combine traditional teaching principles with modern training methods. Because of this, learners of all abilities feel supported. Ultimately, our goal is to guide every learner from their first lesson to test day with confidence.
- Nervous first-time learners
- Learners returning to driving after a break
- Test-ready learners looking to build confidence

I was a nervous learner and needed extra reassurance, but every lesson was positive and motivating. We practised real local routes which helped me feel fully prepared for test day. I passed feeling confident and ready to drive independently.

Learning to drive felt overwhelming at the start, but every lesson was structured and encouraging. The calm teaching style made a massive difference and helped me grow in confidence week by week. Passing my test has opened up so many opportunities for me.

I had put off learning for years because of nerves, but from the first lesson I felt completely at ease. Everything was explained patiently and clearly, and I never felt rushed or pressured. Passing my test felt like a huge personal achievement and I honestly couldn’t have done it without this support.
